Overview of Position:

We are looking for a Journeyman HVAC / Refrigeration Technician to join the team. The HVAC / Refrigeration Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems for various commercial and industrial projects.

Travel within Manitoba, Northwest Territories, and across Canada will be required.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install heating and air conditioning equipment and ventilation systems
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration equipment
  • Repairs to defective refrigeration and HVAC equipment and systems 
  • Maintain jobsites, tools, and materials
  • Prepare written material lists as required
  • May be required to work at heights, indoors or outdoors, or in confined spaces.
  • Adhere to all applicable safety policies, procedures, and practices.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Red Seal Refrigeration and AC Mechanic (commercial trade)
  • Gas A or B ticket an asset
  • Experience in commercial and industrial HVAC / Refrigeration installation and maintenance
  • Valid driver's license
  • Working knowledge of all safety practices associated with the trade
  • Experience reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools associated with the trade
  • Must be aware of the physical demands of the position
  • Must have good coordination and manual dexterity
  • Able to work as part of team or independently with little direction
  • Customer service orientated
  • Able to reliably commute

 

Work conditions:

Travel to remote locations is required, ability to lift 50+ lbs, required safety equipment, hazards and chemicals associated with the trade, work both indoors and outdoors, construction sites, noise, irregular hours and overtime as needed.

 

Location: Beausejour Manitoba

Competitive negotiable wages based on experience $48.00-$58.00 /hr
